Arif Merali has joined Bloomberg as global head of rates electronic trading.
He is based in London.
Nicholas Bean is global head of Bloomberg’s electronic trading solutions business. Earlier this year, the firm announced that it would begin offering e-trading for Indian government bonds.

Merali has more than 30 years of industry experience and was most recently a senior advisor at the Bank of England, specialising in rates.
Earlier in his career, Merali was head of GBP swaps trading at Nomura and head of GBP rates trading at Credit Suisse.
