Former CFTC chairman Rostin Behnam has resurfaced at Bloomberg, joining the firm as global head of public policy and corporate affairs.
Behnam will lead US government relations at the company, and work with Bloomberg’s public policy, legal, business and communications teams globally on financial regulation, data standards, emerging technology and sustainability.
He reports to Mary Schapiro, vice chair for global public policy.
Behnam was chairman of the CFTC between 2021 and 2025, after serving as a commissioner for four years. He was vice chair of the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) from 2022 to 2024.
