Michael Baptista has been promoted to head of emerging markets North America sales at MarketAxess. He is based in New York.
MarketAxess reported a total US$11 billion in average daily volumes across investment grade and high yield credit in March, up 18.8% month-on-month and 6.1% year-on-year.

Baptista has more than two decades of industry experience, and has been an emerging markets sales and product manager at MarketAxess since 2007. Prior to this, he was a trading assistant on the Latin American local markets desk at Merrill Lynch.
