Rich VanderMass has joined Sona Asset Management as a portfolio manager.
He is based in New York.
Boutique asset management firm Sona specialises in credit investing, and holds more than US$19 billion in assets under management. The firm declined to comment on VanderMass’ appointment.
VanderMass has more than 25 years of industry experience and joins Sona from the Chicago Trading Company, where he was a fundamental credit portfolio manager. Earlier in his career, he was head of trading for distressed and special situations at Morgan Stanley.
