First Eagle Investments has appointed Justin Arabadjief as head of high grade trading for municipal credit as it continues to build out its investment grade municipal strategies.
The firm holds US$152 billion in assets under management, and currently offers two municipal products: the First Eagle High Yield Municipal Fund and the First Eagle Short Duration High Yield Municipal Fund.
Based in New York, Arabadjief reports to David Blair, head of the municipal core separately managed accounts (SMA) business, and Bryce Pickering, head of municipal credit trading.
John Miller, head of the municipal credit division, commented: “[Arabadjief’s] addition strengthens our capabilities as we expand into core plus and SMA strategies”
Arabadjief has more than two decades of industry experience, and joins First Eagle from JP Morgan where he has been executive director of secondary trading and competitive underwriting since 2010. Prior to this, he held senior muni trading roles at Barclays Capital and Lehman Brothers.
