Stanley Sheriff has started running risk as a macro portfolio manager at Balyasny Asset Management in Dubai after having been poached last year from Taula Capital, a spin off from Millenium, where he was meant to be a portfolio manager.
Before that he managed fixed-income risk at Millennium, LMR Partners, and DRW. He started his career on the short-term Interest rates desk at Goldman Sachs in London.
Founded in 2001, Balyasny today says it has US $25 billion of assets under management across more than 120 locations and 1,800 staff, offering portfolio managers institutional infrastructure and performance-based payouts on outside capital. Its Dubai office is headed by Tarik Risk since its 2023 launch. he previously managed the ADIA alternative investment unit for more than ten years.
