Corporate treasurers can now directly trade US Treasury bills (T-bills) through Tradeweb’s electronic trading platform.
The announcement follows Tradeweb’s 2024 acquisition of Institutional Cash Distributors (ICD) and its plans to develop a corporate treasury client service.
ICD Portal currently facilitates more than US$4.5 trillion in trading volumes annually, and is used by more than 550 corporate treasury organisations.
The company plans to integrate corporate treasurer workflows into further products, geographies and liquidity pools, beginning with more liquid products and currencies.
Tony Hazard, ICD managing director, commented, “This launch reflects our commitment to leveraging our institutional platform to deliver the fixed income products in highest demand by corporate treasury teams. We plan to add more fixed income instruments to ICD Portal in the future, aligning with our clients’ evolving investment strategies.”
