Sonu Kapoor has joined HSBC as an emerging markets trader, based in New York.
HSBC’s corporate and institutional banking arm reported US$7.1 billion in revenues over the first three months of the year, up 7% year-on-year.
Kapoor joins the firm from BBVA, where she has been an FX trader since 2022 and a rates trader since February 2024. She specialised in Chile non-deliverable forwards, Camara interest rate swaps, inflation instruments, cross-currency swaps, and bonds.
