Russell Beer has joined MFS Investment Management as an emerging markets debt trader.
As of June 30 2025, MFS Investment held US$635.4 billion in assets under management (AUM). In 2024, institutional investment products made up 30% of its US$605.9 billion AUM.
Beer has spent the last 16 years at Aberdeen Standard Investments, most recently as a fixed income dealer covering UK investment grade and high yield credit, and emerging markets debt. Prior to this, he was a liquidity controller.
Earlier in his career, Beer was assistant vice president for funding and derivatives at Credit Suisse Asset Management.
