Sources have confirmed to The Desk that Pamela Massaad Scott has left Nomura following the closure of the bank’s proprietary trading desk in London, less than two years after it was established.

Massaad Scott joined Nomura in early 2024 as managing director and head of proprietary trading. She reported to Nat Tyce, head of global markets for EMEA.

Before joining Nomura, Massaad Scott headed London active strategies at CPP Investments and previously held senior portfolio management roles at Graham Capital Management and Millennium Partners. Earlier in her career, she was a director of G10 rates trading at Citi.

She runs quantitative and discretionary strategies.

Nomura had closed its London FICC prop desk ran by Jonathan Och in 2017, and its equity prop desk Angel Lane Principal Strategies in 2013.
