Nelson Nery has left Northern Trust Asset Management to join JP Morgan Asset Management as a portfolio manager within the systematic fixed income portfolio management and implementation team.
Also an executive director, Nery is part of the global fixed income, currency and commodities group.
Based in London, he reports to Mark Willauer, fixed income portfolio manager at the firm.
JPM AM holds US$4.3 trillion in assets under management. By comparison, Northern Trust AM reported US$1.6 trillion in assets under management as of June.
Nery began his career as a junior equity portfolio manager at BPI Gestão de Ativos in 2006. He was a senior portfolio construction analyst at Amundi in Ireland before joining Legal & General Asset Management as a senior fund manager in 2024.
