Matthew Duff has been named head of the EMEA financial investment group and UK debt syndicate at SMBC Group. He is based in London.
SMBC Group’s income was up 8.8% between March 2024 and March 2025, reaching US$27.8 billion.
Duff has more than a decade of industry experience and joins the firm from BNP Paribas, where he has been director of the debt capital markets syndicate since 2017.
Prior to this, he was an associate director of the same division at Lloyds Bank Corporate and Institutional.
