Charlie Foley has joined Tradeweb as a director and emerging markets credit specialist, based in Dubai.
The Dubai office was opened last year in a bid to better support hedge fund clients in the Middle East.
Elsewhere in the region, Tradeweb stated in its 2024 annual report: “[We are] establishing a presence in Saudi Arabia as we have been granted a license by the Capital Market Authority (“CMA”) to conduct business as an Alternative Trading System for local Sukuk and debt instruments.
Foley has more than 15 years of industry experience and joins Tradeweb from Market Securities, where he has been an emerging markets fixed income broker since March. Prior to this, he spent four years at BancTrust as an emerging markets credit trader and director of fixed income trading and treasury.
Throughout his career, Foley has held emerging market fixed income roles at MeritKapital and UniCredit, and been head of EMEA securities operations at StoneX.
