Franklin Templeton has completed its latest expansion bid, closing the acquisition of Apera Asset Management.

The news follows a series of acquisitions by the investment firm, including European alternative credit manager Alcentra in 2022 and global asset manager Putnam Investments (US$142 billion AUM) in 2024. Franklin Templeton now holds more than US$90 billion in alternative credit AUM, and US$270 billion across its alternative assets strategies.
