Citi has expanded its syndication team in Australia, appointing Jessica Rowe as director of spread products syndication for Australia and APAC and naming Dane Harris as vice president of the AUD debt syndicate team.

On the spread products syndication team, Rowe is responsible for primary securitisation transaction execution across RMBS, ABS and CMBS/CRE in the region.

In Harris’ new role, he will lead AUD unsecured bond syndication, pricing and distribution for domestic issuers and foreign entities issuing bonds in AUD.

Christina Chang, head of markets for Australia and New Zealand, commented, “Australia has the third largest corporate bond market of all G10 currencies, following the USD and Euro. Citi is building out our team to ensure we have unmatched capabilities in this growing space.”

David Bailey, head of debt capital markets for the region, added, “There has been significant growth in the A$ primary market over the last 5 years. Both these appointments allow Citi to help our domestic and global issuers and investors in accessing AUD debt markets and liquidity.”

Rowe has more than a decade of experience and joins Citi from NAB. Most recently she was director of fixed income sales at the company, before which she was director of syndicate strategy and execution.

Harris has more than 15 years of industry experience and joins Citi from Commonwealth Bank, where he was director of FICC. Earlier in his career, he was director of debt capital markets syndication at UBS and assistant vice president of debt syndication at Deutsche bank, both in London.
