Etrading Software’s ETS Connect UK business has finally been authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) to provide the consolidated tape for UK bond markets.

The authorisation comes less than a month before the tape is expected to go live, on 22 June.

Speaking to The DESK, Etrading Software CEO Sassan Danesh commented, “The authorisation as the UK bond Consolidated Tape Provider allows us to move our focus onto implementation and adoption.

“We are working at pace with multiple firms to embed tape data into pricing, analytics and execution workflows, improving transparency and comparability in day-to-day trading activity.”

Authorisation was applied for in January.
