Chun leads Tradeweb in Asia

Rich Chun has joined Tradeweb as head of Asia.

Based in Hong Kong, Chun reports to co-heads of global markets Enrico Bruni and Troy Dixon. He is responsible for Tradeweb’s growth across Asia, as well as overseeing business operations and client engagement in the region.

Dixon commented, “Bringing [Chun] on-board reflects our commitment to investing in top talent and extending our capabilities in the region, which will be instrumental in driving our strategic goals forward.”

Tradeweb reported US$513 million in total revenue for Q2 2205, up 26.7% year-on-year.

With 30 years of industry experience Chun joins the firm from HPS Investment Partners, where he has been a managing director and portfolio manager since 2016. Prior to this, he spent more than seven years as a portfolio manager at asset manager Claren Road Asia.

The majority of his career has been spent at Citi, where he held roles including co-head of emerging market credit trading for Asia, and head of Asia cash bond trading and the Asia syndicate in Hong Kong. Earlier, he was a vice president and trader on the US high yield desk in New York.
