IMTC has closed a US$12 million Series A funding round, with Lord Abbett joining its ranks of investors.
The round was led by fintech-focused venture capital firm Nyca Partners, and supported by Lord, Abbett & Co as a strategic investor.
Nyca has been an investor in IMTC since its first external investment round in 2022.
Lord Abbett will use IMTC’s end-to-end investment platform for the building and rebalancing of its fixed income client portfolios. This is the asset manager’s first fintech investment.
IMTC is particularly active in the fixed income separately managed accounts (SMA) space, which saw approximately US$16 billion in flows in Q4 2024. In Q1 2025, SMA municipal fixed income assets were estimated at US$1.2 trillion – an area where the company says it sees a significant market opportunity for its technology solutions.
Earlier this year, Amerant Investments and T Rowe Price adopted IMTC’s fixed income SMA services.

Their powerful platform delivers significant results for SMA managers, and we believe our partnership will accelerate industry innovation and enable us to deliver expanded, personalised solutions to clients in this evolving marketplace.”
