People: Hunter leaves MarketAxess; Louchard at AXA IM

Nichola Hunter has left MarketAxess as head of its rates business. Hunter joined the firm in 2020 when it acquired government bond marketplace LiquidityEdge, a firm for which she was CEO, having joined in 2015 as its chief operating officer.

Hunter has a distinguished career working at EBS – later acquired by ICAP – between 2003 to 2014 where she rose to co-head of EBS Market. She later spent three years at distributed ledger provider R3CEV.

Announcing her departure in a statement, she said, “After almost seven years building, growing and managing LiquidityEdge, now MarketAxess Rates, it’s time for me to hand over the reins. I leave knowing that the team and the platform are well positioned for the next phase of market evolution.”

Brieuc Louchard has been named head of capital markets at AXA Investment Managers (IM). Louchard was most recently head of exchange traded funds (ETFs) at market operator Euronext, where he worked since 2015.

He is also an experienced equity and ETF sales trader, have ing spent over four years in that role at Société Générale. Previously he worked as junior portfolio manager with Fourpoints Investment Managers. He has a Master degree in Finance from ESLSCA in Paris.
